Fiber Drums
Unique knocked-down fiber containers produced using various laminated substrates to meet your material containment, shipping and handling requirements. The knocked-down containers are shipped in separate pieces and assembled at your facility using a RockTenn supplied seaming machine, resulting in reduced shipping costs and less required storage space than the traditional pre-assembled cans, pails and containers.
RockTenn Fiber Drums are best suited for products that are packaged in a liquid state and solidify when the product has hardened, and are often used in the asphalt, adhesives, hotmelt, frozen foods, and bulk packaging industries. Compared to square or rectangular boxes, which typically face slower cooling caused by the heat sink effect when placed side by side, the round shape of RockTenn Fiber Drums lets cool air pass around the container to allow the material to solidify faster. Also, stripping of the container at your end use is quick and easy, allowing immediate use of the packaged material without waiting for the material to melt or thaw.
Our Fiber Drums are produced in a variety of sizes and diameters and can be shipped around the world at competitive prices.
